How to apply Gravel Bond

Always apply to clean, completely dry decorative aggregate over a suitable permeable, free-draining base.

Stronger surface bond

Pour-On Method

Best for decorative gravel areas and suitable pathways where a stronger surface bond is required.

Make sure the stones are clean and completely dry.
Gently pour Gravel Bond evenly over the surface using a watering can fitted with a fine rose head.
Apply evenly, taking care not to over-saturate or under-apply the product.
Two coats are recommended for improved durability.
Do not disturb the surface until fully cured.

Spray-On Method

Best for decorative areas where the aim is to reduce loose surface movement and dust.

Make sure the stones are clean and completely dry.
Apply Gravel Bond evenly over the surface using a suitable airless sprayer.
Ensure consistent coverage across the complete area.
Avoid over-saturating or leaving untreated patches.
Do not disturb the surface until fully cured.

Important: Spray-on application is intended for decorative areas and is not suitable for foot traffic.

Before you begin

Preparation matters.

The quality of the finished surface depends on suitable stone, good drainage and dry application conditions.

Aggregate must be clean and completely dry.
Remove moss, dust, debris and other contamination before application.
Use over a permeable, free-draining base.
For best results use angular decorative aggregates approximately 4–20mm in size.
Apply only when the ambient temperature is above 5°C.
Do not apply in humidity above 85%.
Do not apply if rain, dew or frost is expected within the following 72 hours.
