Gravel <10 mm

Gravel can be used to finish a variety of garden or landscaping projects. This includes, driveways, pathways, rockeries, borders, water features and more!

Driveways: Angular gravels are best for driveways as they are not easily displaced when driven over compared to a more rounded product that may move. To avoid chippings being caught in tyre treads, we advise gravels graded 14mm or 20mm. Types of gravel for driveways include our granite, basalt, quartz & flint materials as they have a greater longevity due to their hard wearing nature.

Footpaths: Create a stunning decorative gravel garden path with our huge range of decorative gravels. We suggest using angular gravels as they lock together better which reduces displacement when walked over. Chippings graded 10-14mm are the ideal size for garden gravel paths as they are too large to be caught in shoe treads, yet small enough to create a comfortable walking surface.

Decorative Gravel: Garden gravel can also be used in borders, raised beds, flower beds, water features and as general ground covering.

Laying Depth: Both driveways & footpaths are best laid at 50mm (2 inches) depth for good coverage.
