This angular Black Basalt Gravel 6mm appears grey when dry and black when wet. Basalt stone is exceptionally hardwearing and durable maintaining its look for many years. Perfect for use in Japanese style gardens, for pebble dashing, decorative garden gravel borders, raised flower beds, ornamental water features and fishponds. Includes pieces graded between 3-8mm (sizing information). We also stock larger sizes; Black Basalt 10mm, 14mm & 20mm sized chippings.

Applications: Suitable for pebble dashing, raked into lines as a part of a Japanese style garden, in an ornamental water feature or fishpond, to finish a lawn border, or top potted plants and raised flower beds or used in a garden gravel rockery

Actual sizing: Graded 6mm but includes chippings measuring 3-8mm with some variance possible

Colour: Appearing grey in dry conditions, darkening to near black when wet
