Slate 40mm

Our True Welsh Slate Chippings are available in a choice of four attractive colours; BluePlumGreen and Charcoal (Black). If you are attempting to colour match, we would suggest purchasing a sample. This is because other retailers may source their stone from different quarries so colours may vary.

One of the most versatile decorative aggregates, our slate chippings are perfect for a variety of outdoor spaces and garden or landscaping uses. These include mulch, garden pathways, lawn borders, planting areas, raised flower beds as well as decorative landscaping features such as rockeries, ornamental water features and fishponds. Slate chippings can also be a cost-effective solution for general ground cover and can prevent weed growth.

Offered in a bulk bag or 20kg bags, our Slate Chippings are graded in a choice of either 20mm or 40mm. Variance in size is to be expected, as slate is quite a soft material so can break down over time. However, due to its flatter profile smaller pieces tend to work their way to the bottom forming a mulch, while the larger more attractive slate chippings remain on the surface.

This product is recycled from off-cuts of roofing slate so is a sustainable material.

We also stock larger complementary Slate Rockery and tumbled Slate Paddlestones
