Our recycled Blue Slate Chippings 20mm are a natural product featuring blue/grey/plum colour tones when dry which darken to blue/plum colours when wet. This popular blue slate gravel is ideal for pathways where a flatter finish is required. It is also perfect for mulch, garden borders, pathways and fish ponds. We supply our attractive Blue Slate Gravel Chippings in various quantities of 20kg poly bags or bulk bags of approx. 750kg. Our images show the product wet and dry. We also supply a larger 40mm Blue Slate, Blue Paddlestones and Large Slate Paddlestones, all of which are also available in a variety of other colours. Please see our sizing info.

Blue Slate Chippings 20mm
Applications: Decorative garden borders, rockeries, footpaths, water features, ponds and aquatics
Actual Sizing: Ranging between 5-30mm
Colour: Appearing near grey when dry, the shades of blue come out when the stone is wet and may include purple and plum tones as a natural colour variance along with occasional colour inclusions

Delivery information
We aim to deliver all orders within 2-3 working days from receipt of order (Most orders placed before 1pm will be delivered in 2 working days).
Any Next Day deliveries need to be placed before 1pm Monday to Thursday.
Next Day deliveries placed on a Friday before 1pm will be delivered the following Monday excluding Bank Holidays - then the delivery will be on the Tuesday)

Blue Slate Paddlestones
Blue Slate Paddlestones 50-100mm are tumbled to produce a smooth finish with more rounded edges and they are widely used as decoration around fish ponds or in water features and fountains. They are also popular for stone rockeries, raised beds and garden borders and can create an attractive contrast with another of our slate colours Green Paddlestones, Plum Paddlestones or Charcoal Slate Paddlestones. Large Slate Paddlestones
Our attractive Large Slate Paddlestones, also known as Celtic Paddlestones, are predominantly blue with some pieces of green and plum slate that are tumbled for a smoother surface and rounded edges. Uses include paving, stepping stones, gabion baskets, walling, rockeries and borders and as a fish friendly product they are also ideal for water features and fish ponds. The size of the pieces is 150-300mmm with some smaller angular pieces possible - please see sizing info. They are supplied in full crates containing approx. 500 pieces or half crates of approx. 250 pieces. For alternative paddlestones please see our Large Tumbled Sandstone Paddlestones.

Green Slate Chippings 20mm
Green Slate Chippings 20mm are a natural subtle green colour that blends well into any garden environment. Uses include decorative features, borders, paths and rockeries but as a fish friendly product it can also be used in water features and ponds. Green slate tends to be chunkier than our plum, charcoal and blue slate and as with all slates it looks beautiful when wet. The pictures show the product wet and dry. The actual size of the product is between 5–30mm which is a good size for paths as it tends to bed together better than the larger 40mm Green Slate to form a flatter walking surface. Plum Slate Chippings 20mm
Our Plum Slate Chippings 20mm are a natural Welsh slate material with beautiful purple plum/blue colour tones that deepen when wet. Theis plum slate is ideal for garden borders, mulch, raised beds, rockery gardens, water fountains and fish ponds as they are a fish friendly material. Please see our images for colour change when wet and dry. The 20mm size plum slate chipping is ideal for foot paths as it beds together well and offers a more comfortable walking surface in comparison to larger gravels. Actual sizing is 5–30mm please see our Sizing Info. Once laid the smaller pieces will form a mulch bed with the larger more decorative plum slate on display. Supplied on pallets in bulk bags of around 750kg or various quantities of 20kg poly bags, we also stock a larger 40mm Plum Slate and tumbled Plum Slate Paddlestones.
