Our Petrified Wood pieces are the fossilised stone remains from ancient Indonesian hard wood trees and are around 20 million years old. This interesting piece features fossil impressions that show the shapes and textures from the growth of the original tree before it fell replicated perfectly in stone. It is ideal for garden rockeries, ornamental water features and landscaping schemes. The stone pictured is the one you will receive and it measures approx. 1040mm x 420mm x 480mm and weighs around 260kg. Fossilised Wood: Formed over millions of years after the death of any plant or tree material has decayed mineral rich liquids flood into the space left and crystals grow, filling the cavity creating a stone cast, replacating the shape and texture of the original tree or plant in fine detail.
We aim to deliver all orders within 2-3 working days from receipt of order (Most orders placed before 1pm will be delivered in 2 working days).
Any Next Day deliveries need to be placed before 1pm Monday to Thursday.
Next Day deliveries placed on a Friday before 1pm will be delivered the following Monday excluding Bank Holidays - then the delivery will be on the Tuesday)
