Green Slate Chippings 20mm
Green Slate chippings 20mm are a natural subtle green colour that blends well into any garden environment. Uses include decorative features, borders, paths and rockeries but as a fish friendly product it can also be used in water features and ponds. Green slate tends to be chunkier than our plum, charcoal and blue slate and as with all slates it looks beautiful when wet. The pictures show the product wet and dry. The actual size of the product is between 5–30mm which is a good size for paths as it tends to bed together better than the larger 40mm Green Slate to form a flatter walking surface. Suitable for all decorative garden and landscaping projects and as a fish friendly product they are ideal for water features, rockeries and ponds. The photographs show the product both wet and dry. Plum Slate Chippings 20mm
Plum Slate chippings 20mm is a natural Welsh slate plum / blue coloured product that is ideal for garden borders and rockeries and as a fish friendly product they are perfect for water features and fish ponds especially as the colours really come out when wet. They can also be used for paths and this size beds together well with a flatter more comfortable walking surface when compared with larger sizes. Our photographs show the product wet and dry. The actual size is 5–30mm and once laid the smaller pieces will form a mulch bed with the larger pieces on show. Charcoal Slate Chippings 20mm
An alternative size to our 40mm Charcoal Slate, the 20mm chippings are a charcoal grey colour that darkens to near black when wet and are sized 5-30mm - please see our sizing info. Also known as Black Slate, it is perfect for creating a contemporary design and is popular for garden borders, raised beds and rockeries. As a fish friendly stone it can also be used for aquatics, fish ponds and decorative water features.
